Vermentino is an Italian Varietal, and it is well suited to the warm wine regions of Australia due to its ability to retain freshness and acidity in warmer climates.
Pale lime in colour with silver hues. Fresh aromas of green apple and lemon sherbet leads into a crisp and fruity palate. Lush flavours of lime, pineapple and honeydew melon flourish with crisp acidity providing a mineral aspect to the long persistent finish.

Vinonotebook on the 2020: "Very pale and almost clear hue. Lightly fragrant with lemon drop, lime flesh pips, green candy apple, tropical melon skin, cotton wool and a steely metal line. There’s a little more flesh to bones than the nose suggests and while the zesty acidity is a somewhat hard and firm as a standalone drink it certainly augurs well for food pairing of a big platter of fritto misti! Serve chilled and have fun. 88/100"
Q wine on the 2020: "A tropical fruit scented Vermentino from the Riverina that comes across more like a Sauv Blanc.
Green melon, snow pea, guava and pineapple aromas dance about with green apples and cut pear driving through the mouth with a squeeze of lime. Clean and crisp, it offers some refreshment for not a lot of money. Drink now. 87/100"
Ciao Magazine August 2020: "The Berton Vineyards 'metal label' range - which also includes a shiraz and durif- represents quite remarkable value - and can be recommended for anyone wanting a few bottles of house wine at a reasonable price" Winsor Dobbin.
